Partner Spotlight: AdaptiveComms Group

James Brayshaw, CEO of AdaptiveComms Group discusses the lack of connectivity choice pre-LCR Connect, the increasing customer demand for Wi-Fi and networking services, and how businesses will be much better positioned to offer true hybrid working to staff.

Tell us about your business, what you do, where you are located, and where your customers are?

AdaptiveComms is a telecoms and IT provider for businesses across the UK. We supply IT support, telephone systems, broadband and network connections, Wi-Fi and cabling.  We are based in sunny Southport, about halfway between Liverpool and Preston. We’ve been in business for nearly 20 years, and employ about 25 people locally. We pride ourselves on offering brilliant service, great products, and a fair price. We were a trailblazer in service delivery when we started and have always continued to uphold those high standards – it means we have an impressive customer retention rate above 96%.

What do you think LCR Connect will deliver?

The Liverpool City Region has long been underserved for internet access. The choices were often to have a poor line or a very expensive line. LCR Connect will deliver a fantastic opportunity for businesses in the Liverpool City Region to access really fast and reliable connectivity, at a really competitive price. Businesses will be much better positioned to offer work from home or hybrid working solutions. It will be just as important for businesses in the hospitality and leisure sectors like bars, hotels, and restaurants who want to offer fast reliable internet to their customers but have previously found it too cost prohibitive. We are already seeing a big uptick in enquiries from new and existing customers.

What’s the demand for full fibre services?

I think the demand for ultrafast internet in the Liverpool City Region should not be underestimated; from Southport to Wirral, and Bootle to Halton, the City Region has a fantastic, vibrant entrepreneurial culture. This new gigabit-capable network will offer businesses the opportunity to compete with global competitors on a level playing field at a fair price for the first time ever.

What are the sectors of focus for AdaptiveComms?

I think lots of the small to mid-sized companies across industries, who really need faster internet but have been stopped by price, are excited about this project.

What next?

We have seen a major increase in the last few months in network infrastructure work such as data cabling and WiFi access points. This has seen some really exciting growth in our business, and LCR Connect will only enhance that offering – we can’t wait!
