The 15th Annual National Apprenticeship Week was earlier this month and LCR Connect’s build partner, NGE took the opportunity to shine a light on its apprentices working on the project.
NGE’s apprentices form an important part of the workforce. Nurturing, educating and encouraging the stars of the future is vital to our sector. LCR Connect creates a fantastic environment to learn on the job combined with academic studies, while delivering this once in a generation digital infrastructure project.
Here’s what some of NGE’s apprentices had to say
“I am born and bred in Liverpool and to have my first project with NGE on my doorstep is amazing. The LCR Connect project is a great experience for my career, and I look forward to it being a huge success for not only Liverpool City Region, but my career also!”
Elliot Swale
“I am a local lad from Liverpool and it will make me very proud knowing that I contributed to making my city a better place for the next generation.”
Joel Hardy
“Following 2 weeks’ work experience with NGE across all disciplines, I decided to proceed with a Health & Safety apprenticeship. To look back knowing that I was part of the team to deliver this project will make me very proud.”
