Every day is a school day! And that was certainly the case for our community liaison team this week.
As we build our network, we are passing thousands of homes, businesses and schools. What better way to update the community on our plans than visit the schools that are located on the LCR Connect build route?
Over the course of the month our liaison officer Hayley Cunningham is meeting with schoolchildren across the Combined Authority, taking the opportunity to advise on health and safety around those areas where construction is taking place, but using the opportunity to reinforce the role of ultrafast connectivity for the region and young people’s futures.
Brackenwood Infant School, the Wirral, was the first stop off on our LCR Connect road-trip, meeting 148 pupils and 10 teachers to let them know all about the work taking part in their area.
We were delighted to explain how Liverpool City Region is going to benefit from the ultrafast full fibre network, how it will help transform businesses and communities where they live, and also take the opportunity to be grilled by the young people.
